I’m a Learning Experience Designer with over 20 years of experience turning complex technical concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences that drive real performance outcomes.
I’ve spent my career partnering with organizations like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Charles Schwab, and Hewlett-Packard (HP) to build training programs that scale across global audiences.
My Approach
People First
Every effective learning experience starts with a clear understanding of the problem. Before I open an authoring tool or draft a storyboard, I invest the time in understanding who the learners are, what they need to do differently, and what success looks like. This human-centered, performance-first mindset shapes everything I build.
Flexible by Design
My work is grounded in proven instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, Agile) and adapted to fit the pace and complexity of each project. For large-scale technical curricula, I follow a structured ADDIE approach with rigorous needs and task analysis, SME collaboration, and iterative pilot cycles. For faster moving initiatives, I lean into SAM’s rapid prototyping or Agile sprint-based design, getting working content in front of stakeholders early and refining based on real feedback.
Visual Storytelling That Engages
I believe great instructional design is as much about how something looks and feels as it is about what it teaches. I bring a designer’s eye to every project, crafting visually polished, media-rich experiences that capture the learner’s attention and sustains engagement. My toolkit spans the full creative spectrum: Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360 for interactive learning, Camtasia and Adobe Premiere Pro for video production, Adobe Photoshop and AI prompting for custom graphics, and Adobe Audition for professional-quality audio. I don’t just assemble content, I design immersive experiences where layout, motion, color, and interactivity work together to reinforce and make complex ideas feel intuitive.
Accessible and Inclusive
Accessibility and inclusive design aren’t afterthoughts, they’re built in from the start. All of my work meets WCAG 2.1 standards, ensuring every learner can engage fully regardless of ability. And because technology evolves fast, I continuously integrate emerging tools, including generative AI and prompt engineering, to enhance both the design process and the learner experience.

This micro-learning was built to ensure that all members of the organization understood their important role in escalating potential security concerns via a ticketing system. Completion metrics for all members of the organization were tracked and reported via the learning management system (LMS).

It introduces the learner to their virtual trainer, James, and he poses a question to the participant that helps them better understand the role they are about to adopt. Adobe Character Animator
This animated video was created as part of the introductory section of a full onboarding course for the Regulated Data Sentinel training program. It introduces the learner to the basics of the program, the main character, Alex, and her manager Sarah who are recurring characters in the training which was presented via Rise 360.
IDEA Agent

This video provides prospective customers with an overview for the new IDEA Agent service. It includes a quick demo of how the service works and concludes with a QR code to a website (which I also designed) for additional information.
